Our Environment & Values

Visionary Arts is a faith-based organization that values creativity, encouragement, and positive growth. Our classes are designed to be a safe, uplifting space where students are supported, inspired, and treated with kindness and respect.

While our foundation is rooted in faith, our program is welcoming to all families. At times, we may share brief moments of encouragement or inspiration that reflect our values, including references to faith, but participation in any faith-based expression is always optional and approached with respect for every student’s background.

Our focus is simple: creating a fun, engaging, and positive learning environment where every child feels comfortable, confident, and excited to grow creatively.

About the Bootcamp:

Unleash your creativity this summer with our dynamic Graphic Design Program designed for students ages 7 and up (grades 3–12) who love to draw, create, and bring their ideas to life. Whether they’re always sketching in a notebook, dreaming up characters, or curious about digital design, this program is a great fit for aspiring artists who want to turn imagination into opportunity. From beginners to those looking to sharpen their skills, our engaging virtual classes make learning fun, accessible, and inspiring.

Students will explore the foundations of design through beginner-friendly lessons on basic shapes and visual composition, then dive into exciting areas like cartooning, comics, and comic book layout to bring their ideas to life. Beyond creating art, participants will also learn how to think like entrepreneurs, discovering how to present, market, and monetize their creative work. The program also introduces industry-standard tools, including the Adobe Creative Suite, giving students hands-on experience with the software professionals use every day.

Each class takes place in a supportive virtual classroom and lasts just 30 minutes, perfect for keeping students focused, energized, and excited to learn. Families also have flexible options: students can take individual classes as standalone experiences or enroll in the full program for a more in-depth creative journey.

Summer Graphic Design Bootcamp (Ages 7+, Grades 3–12)
Program Timeline: June – First Week of August

• Session 1: June – First Week of July
• Session 2: July – First Week of August

Class Time Options :

• Morning Sessions: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Afternoon Sessions: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  (Each class is 30 minutes within the above time frame, and held in a live virtual classroom.)

• Zero Enrollment fee
• $45 per session (flexible, pick the weeks you want)
• $225 for the full 5-week program 
• 10% sibling discount available

Course Offerings

Week 1/Session 1: Beginner Design Basics (Foundations of Art & Shapes)
Students will learn:

• How to use basic shapes to build drawings and designs
• Understanding line, color, and simple composition
• Confidence in creating original artwork

Week 2/Session 2: Cartooning, Comics & Character Creation
Students will learn:

• How to draw original cartoon characters with personality
• Facial expressions, movement, and visual storytelling
• Techniques for developing their own comic-style art

Week 3/Session 3: Comic Book Layout & Visual Storytelling
Students will learn:

• How to design comic panels and page layouts
• Structuring a story across multiple frames
• Combining text and images to create engaging comics

Week 4/Session 4: Design with Adobe Creative Suite
Students will learn:

• Basic navigation of Adobe design programs
• Creating simple digital graphics and layouts
• Applying digital tools to enhance artwork

Week 5/Session 5: Art as an Entrepreneur
Students will learn:

• How to present and showcase their artwork
• Basics of branding and marketing creative work
• Intro concepts for turning art into income

Class Final & 5-week course Showcase

Students are presented with a completion certificate at the end of each class.  Students enrolled in the 5-week course will present their work in a virtual showcase to Family and friends invited to celebrate their creativity, growth, and accomplishments.  They will also be given a completion certificate, and a 10% gold status coupon toward a future course.
